42 Flash Challenge Part Deux Day 2

Did I mention the time I challenged myself to write a page a day in an in-character journal of a motorcycle medic in 2053?  Challenges have an interesting way of going from ‘What was I thinking?’ to ‘I’m never going to make it…’ to ‘Hey… this isn’t all that bad.’

Today’s Prompt: Overcoming (anything you want to overcome)

  1. Overcoming Inertia
    by M.T. Decker

“Objects in motion tend to stay in motion until acted upon by another force. Like that brick wall up ahead.”

If he survived the inertia killing wall, Ian was going to hurt someone back at central.

“This is going to hurt,” he thought to no one in particular.

When he hit, everything was filled with blinding white light and pain.

“Two objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time,” the computer informed him.

Someone was definitely going to pay… just as soon as he could get up.
