42 Flash Challenge Part Deux Day 34

So, what do you do when you learn that everything you wrote, while good, could be better if you re-arranged it and dropped a tonne of material?  (and yes, I used the British spelling for the Metric Ton, not to be confused with the English Ton because it somehow adds weight to the subject even though it’s a metric tonne which is lighter than an English one, and why is it English if England isn’t using it?)  

Pondering this, I went and looked it up and found that (to avoid confusion) they now use “Long Ton” for the standard 2240 lbs, “Short Ton” of 2000 and Tonne for metric (which is 2204 lbs.)  Sometimes clarification does not clear things up.
