150 degree turn

When you write, the story can take the direct route – A to B, where A and B are in line with each other. Then there is the plot twist which usually involves a 180 degree turn – where you end up in the exact oposite place from where people expected you to be.

In the game ‘Ace of Aces,’ there is a maneuver that looks like you’re going straight and then, instead of turning you climb and then you roll – the end result is a 180-degree turn where you end up much higher going the other way.

It’s called an Immelmann turn and, like any surprise maneuver, you become predictable if you use it too much. So instead of a 180-degree turn, try for a different angle without reversing everything

Today’s Prompt: A wrong turn…
