We’re starting the challenge again – for the first 42 days of 2018 (and knowing me it will be more like 49 because that’s seven 7s and I can have all sorts of fun with that.
- Seven deadly sins
- Seven chakras
- Seven days a week… or was that 8?
- Seven brides for seven brothers
- The Sinful Seven
I can’t wait to see what I posted. (as usual, I will be creating the prompts early so I won’t remember what they are and I can be as surprised as you are..
There is nothing we can’t do in fiction – the question is – should we? Part of writing is saying “what happens?” part of editing is saying “Should it happen?” and more importantly “Is it important to the story?” Sometimes its a choice: do we go big, or do we go small?
Today’s Prompt: Go Big
Have you ever seen something in a movie, or on TV that you say ‘I wouldn’t have done that…’ When you’re a writer, you get to decide what people do and the consequences of those actions. Something to think about.
Today’s Prompt: Curcumstances
Sometimes something small and random can change everything – sometimes its as simple as a few words, spoken at the right time, sometimes just being there or not being there. Sometimes it is intentional, and others just happen.
Today’s Prompt: Random
Sometimes the best thing we can say to someone we love is nothing – to simply be there for them.
Today’s Prompt: It’s the little things
We live in a world of instant everything – instant food, fiction and news. We eat, breathe and sleep on the cutting edge. The only problem is the instant news isn’t always the truth. By the time the truth is known, the genie is out of the bottle, the cows have burned down the barn, the goats are eating pop-rocks and no one really cares anymore.
Today’s prompt : The truth isn’t hidden– sometimes its just ignored in favor of something flashier.
Predictions are nothing more that following trends and imagining where they will lead… unless of course you really are prescient and then… I apologize. But, you knew that already didn’t you?
Today’s Prompt: seeing vs SEEING
